NOWW has an agreement with Niagara Prosthetics & Orthotics International to transfer technology in support of capacity building for the use and production of these products in developing and post conflict regions.

An example is the partnership between Queen’s University and the University Don Bosco in El Salvador that has developed as a result of a recent CIDA Technology Transfer Fund Contract.  The project has provided the design, evaluation and research capacity to establish the region as a receptor for these technologies using a community-based rehabilitation strategy.  NOWW is working to bring these educational institutions together with key commercial partners in a network to make these and other products available in Central America.  The Charity offers technical, scientific, design and evaluation knowledge, and is building experience in creating and managing a multi-disciplinary design and production network.
