NOWW has an agreement with Niagara Prosthetics & Orthotics International to offer the following products worldwide at a reduced price to approved organizations/governments serving individuals in developing countries.

The Niagara Foot.   The Niagara Foot keel is an energy-return prosthetic foot that has been shown to improve walking performance and reduce user fatigue in small-cohort studies in Thailand and El Salvador.  Initial feedback from clinicians and users in Canada and Nigeria has been positive. The device takes advantage of new low-cost engineering plastics that can be injection molded in high volumes and meets ISO standards for static and cyclic testing.  Currently, there are two models with different mechanical properties that can be tuned to the needs of the client.  The keel fits most commercial covers, and a new high-durability cover is under development.  For more information on the Niagara Foot, click here.

The Niagara Socket.  The Niagara Socket is a new concept in socket fabrication based on high-performance injection-molded pre-forms that are thermoformed using conventional rectified molds.  The design contains an integrated connector for pylon attachment, which reduces fabrication time and cost, while retaining the strength of these systems.  In addition, the pre-forms are easily shipped, making the device a feasible solution to modular socket fabrication.
